Select Your Seva
Historical Background
Diwali (Deepawali) has multiple historical significances: the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, Lord Krishna killing the demon Narakasura, the Damodara-lila of Mother Yashoda binding Krishna, the appearance of Goddess Lakshmi during the churning of the ocean, and Lord Vamana's rescue of Lakshmi from King Bali.
Spiritual Significance
The festival represents the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. It coincides with the auspicious Damodara month (Kartika), which is especially dear to Lord Krishna.
Blessings & Benefits
Lighting diyas in the temple and sponsoring special offerings during Diwali brings prosperity and spiritual advancement. Supporting the grand arati and prasadam distribution invokes the blessings of Lord Rama, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Krishna.
