A pastime from Sri Caitanya Caritamrta describing Lord Chaitanya's journey to Southern India, where He met Paramānanda Purī and Lord Shiva.
Meeting Paramānanda Purī
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu traveled to Ṛṣabha Hill to meet Paramānanda Purī. The Lord offered him all respects, touching his lotus feet, and they spent three days discussing topics of Kṛṣṇa.
Meeting Lord Shiva and Parvati in Śrī Śaila
The Lord then began walking toward Śrī Śaila. In Śrī Śaila, Lord Śiva and his wife Durgā lived in the dress of brāhmaṇas. When they saw Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, they became very pleased. Lord Śiva invited the Lord to spend three days in a solitary place, where they sat together and talked very confidentially.
