His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Maharaja, a senior disciple of ISKCON Founder-Acharya Srila Prabhupada, has been honored with the prestigious Hindu Ratna Award. This award recognizes his decades of extraordinary global service in propagating the message of Sanatana Dharma, constructing the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, and fostering spiritual unity.

A Lifetime of Preaching and Service

HH Jayapataka Swami accepted initiation from Srila Prabhupada in 1968. He was soon sent to India, where he dedicated his life to developing the spiritual headquarters of ISKCON in Mayapur, West Bengal. Despite facing severe health challenges, his enthusiasm to travel, preach, and write remains completely undiminished. He travels globally, initiating and guiding hundreds of thousands of disciples in their spiritual lives.

The Significance of the Hindu Ratna Award

The Hindu Ratna Award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding, lifelong contributions to the promotion and preservation of Vedic culture. The committee noted Jayapataka Swami's immense contributions in organizing massive Namahatta congregation programs, setting up emergency relief projects, and compiling extensive literatures on Vaishnavism.
